Metro Nashville Public Schools is hosting two events this month to recruit new teachers along with transportation and support positions.
The first will occur this Saturday, March 4, at Millennium Maxwell House Hotel from 9 A.M. to noon. The district will be seeking candidates for teaching positions, school counselors, leadership positions and school support roles.
The next event will take place Monday, March 6 at Coleman Park Community Center from 10 A.M. to noon. This event will be used to find specific transportation roles such as bus drivers and bus monitors.
“Our district implements some of the most innovative reform strategies in the nation. And, we seek to partner with highly effective, engaging teachers, teacher leaders and support staff with a passion for urban education and a go-getter spirit as we strive to become the highest-performing urban district in the nation,” wrote the district.
Bus driver compensation begins at $22.25 per hour and support staff are offered a minimum wage of $18 per hour with higher wages offered depending on experience level and specific job classification.
